A single red cherry, round and glossy, is topped with a brass stem in this petite fruit box. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, finished in Limoges, France.
Life Is a Bowl of Cherries
Cherries are a symbol of sweetness, summer and good fortune, and the cherry on top has become shorthand for the best part of anything. This porcelain version pairs a deep red fruit with a brass stem, a bit of metal detailing that gives the simple shape a polished, jewel-like finish. It recalls cherry pies, orchard picking days and the first fruit of early summer.

The Cherry on Top
Set it on a vanity, a kitchen windowsill or a shelf of painted fruit. It is a sweet present for a summer birthday, a baker known for her cherry pie, a friend who just landed a dream job, or anyone from cherry country in Michigan or Washington. Fans of retro kitchen style will also enjoy its bright red color.
