Light 4x4 1/4-Ton Utility Vehicles commonly referred to as 'Mutts' the M151 had the longest span of service than any other vehicle of its type used by the US Army with over 100,000 units produced between 1959 and 1988. The M151 A1 was the second version of the vehicle, introduced in 1964.
